Born in Charlotte, living in Concord, and on Charlotte-area job sites since 2017.
I was born in Charlotte and live in Concord, and I've spent my working life on job sites across the Charlotte area. Starting in 2017, I worked as a trade partner for production builders, running drywall, paint, trim and final clean-up on their homes. That's the finish work: the part of a house a family sees every day. Production builders run on tight schedules and tight standards, and we learned to deliver both, house after house.
In August 2020 I opened J&I Custom Homes, and in 2022 I earned my North Carolina general contractor license. I wanted to bring the same pace and consistency we'd built our reputation on to our own projects, and to work directly with the people who would live in the homes: plan the job with them, set a realistic budget and a realistic date, and be the one responsible for both.
Today J&I Custom Homes builds spec homes, semi-custom and custom homes, investor and rental properties, and additions and remodels across Charlotte and the surrounding counties.
The J is for Jesus and the I is for Irma, my parents. Their names are on every job we do, and I build like they're watching.
Every build is different, and that's what I enjoy about it. Different lot, different family, different budget. What I like most is taking a homeowner who needs a contractor they can trust, putting the right people on their job, and handing over a finished home on the date we agreed to.
The standards don't change with the size of the job.
Projects come in at different price points. The materials and finishes fit your budget; the workmanship is the same on every job.
I show up at the job every day. I'm not a name on the contract you never see again.

Your property is treated like it's already your home, because it is.
It starts the day your project is finished. If something we built isn't right, we come back and fix it.
Our office is in Huntersville and we build across the Charlotte region. If your lot or your house is in one of these areas, we can be on site the same week.
